Seam Sealer / Lidder coming to EPIC and Bay Photonics will have Open Access

Bay Photonics are pleased to announce that they will have access to Pyramid Engineering’s seam sealer/lidder from early 2021.
EPIC has announced that funding has been granted to procure and install this capable machine.

EPIC Centre Director, Wayne Loschi, is delighted with the move, “We have been slowly building the technical capability of EPIC over the past 12 months. We can now add Packaging to the Product Assembly, Microscopy and Analysis facilities within our centre. Pyramid Engineering have the expertise and experience to support our aspirations of becoming a globally recognised facility for microelectronics prototyping.”

Pyramid Engineering’s Managing Director, Gary Stead, is also excited by the opportunity, “We are very pleased to be involved in the EPIC project and look forward to installing our technology within the building. Pyramid has worked with various Torbay Hi Tech Cluster companies for a number of years therefore believe we are the best partner to support EPIC”.

Bay Photonics, as a tennant at EPIC, will have open access to this machine and its capabilities. They would be pleased to offer Services to any photonics company wishing to build prototypes or small production volumes of devices requiring an hermetic metal case that can be sealed using this method and machine.
